Free things to do in NYC
New York is expensive, but plenty of it is free. These are free events happening across the five boroughs — park programs, outdoor workouts, tours, festivals, talks and community gatherings — many of them from NYC Parks.
Free events are even better with company. Turn any of them into a plan on PLANS and people nearby can join you.

Questions
Are these events really free?
They're marked free by the organizer. Some may ask you to register in advance, so check the official page before you go.
What if none of my friends can come?
That's what PLANS is for. Tap “Find people to go with” on any event and it becomes a plan other people nearby can join. Everyone going gets a group chat to coordinate, and it closes after the plan.
Is it safe to meet people from PLANS?
PLANS is for adults 18+, plans happen in public places, and your location is only ever shown approximately. You can report, block or leave a plan in two taps, and reports are reviewed by real people.
